TPUT(1) TPUT(1) NAME tput - measure read throughput SYNOPSIS tput [ -b buflen ] [ -p ] DESCRIPTION Tput continuously reads standard input writing throughput statistics to standard error. The throughput value is calcu- lated and written once per second and automatically scaled to kilo-, mega- or gigabytes. When the -p flag is specified, tput will write the data read to standard output (the default is to discard the data). A read blocksize (default is the iounit(2) of file- descriptor) in bytes can be given with the -b buflen option.
